Paul Bettany Wraps Work on ‘Star Wars’ Han Solo Film

“Another terrific performance in the world class talent,” states Ron Howard.
Whatever Paul Bettany was performing in the standalone Han Solo film, he’s now finished.

Director Ron Howard on Saturday posted a picture of Bettany on the set of the untitled Star Wars job, stating his pal had wrapped around the production.

“Had to bid farewell to my friend @Paul_Bettany today. Another terrific performance in the world class talent,” Howard captioned a picture of both men.

It seems fitting that Howard declared the conclusion of Bettany’s work on the film, because it was he who broke the news on Twitter in early September which Bettany was in the movie in any way.

Howard has been something of a social networking Jedi with his cautious posts from the set, giving fans just enough to tease without spoiling.

The Oscar-winning manager previously announced the additions of castmembers Warwick Davis and his brother, Clint, via Twitter.

In July, Howard told The Hollywood Reporter he appreciated the small teases, but was very careful never to give too much away.

As resources detailed to THR afterward, the directors felt as though they were being given “zero creative freedom,” while the Star Wars brass was displeased by the duo’s improvisational style that saw takes detract from Kasdan’s script. The still-untitled Han Solo film opens May 25, 2018.

Bettany took to Twitter on Saturday evening to thank Howard, writing, “@RealRonHoward you are too kind. I had the best time watching you make it all seem simple.

The Joker and Harley Quinn Are Getting Their Own “Love Story” Movie

Following the popularity of Suicide Squad this past year, Warner Bros. has decided to develop still another evil villain film — concentrated around the love-life of The Joker and Harley Quinn. The Joker has long been an intriguing character in the vast majority of Batman movies and, after Jared Leto gave him an insane portrayal in Suicide Squad, everybody wanted to see more — particularly with Margot Robbie.

The film Will star Jared Leto as The Joker, yet again, and throw Margot Robbie by his side as Harley Quinn, like in Suicide Squad. The movie will be completely about their “wicked love story.” This, I’m absolutely hyped for.

News also awakened that Warner Bros. was working on another movie about The Joker — but a standalone about his life as a villain. According to reports, Jared Leto might not be starring as The Joker in this movie. At the same time, there were reports of a DC all female villain film — Gotham City Sirens — however, The Joker and Harley Quinn love story film appears to have gotten the push earlier this film instead.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the directors of this movie are set to be Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the exact same two directors of NBC’s “This is Us,” and movies such as “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” and “Focus.”
